From the ceremony to the reception estate, from the cocktail hour to the midnight fireworks — transport is one of the silent pillars of a successful wedding on the French Riviera. Mercedes S-Class for the couple, Luxury Sprinter for guests, dedicated dispatcher: here is how to choreograph every journey with the precision of a palace production.
A wedding on the French Riviera is far more than a ceremony and a dinner: it is a multi-hour — sometimes multi-day — production involving dozens of guests, suppliers, photographers, videographers and a wedding planner. At the heart of this logistics operation, one element often underestimated determines the serenity of the entire day: transport. This article details our approach to high-end wedding transport, from the couple's vehicle to the coordination of guest shuttles.
With its Mediterranean climate, landscapes set between sea and mountains, century-old palaces and exceptional private villas, the French Riviera is one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in the world. Cap-Ferrat and its Belle Époque villas, Cap d'Antibes and its legendary hotel, the Provençal vineyards of the Var hinterland, the wine estates around Aix-en-Provence: each venue imposes its own codes, its own rhythm, its own access constraints. Our role is to make the experience seamless, without ever imposing our presence.
Three absolute requirements structure our involvement: surgical punctuality at the ceremony, seamless transitions between the various programme venues, and comfort for guests often dressed in delicate outfits and impractical footwear. Added to this is an aesthetic dimension: the vehicle is part of the wedding's overall visual language. An immaculate saloon or SUV, a chauffeur in a dark suit, a perfect drop-off in front of the chapel — details that contribute to the overall staging.
Anticipation is the guiding principle. No delay is acceptable for the couple's arrival. No guest should wait in the midday sun outside a palace. No vehicle should mistake a gate in a 40-hectare estate. View our event services.
The couple's vehicle is emblematic: it is the car that appears in the arrival photographs, opens the guard of honour, and will be seen in the photographer's images for decades to come. Two choices dominate our fleet:
Both vehicles accept light floral decoration coordinated in advance with the wedding planner: a tulle ribbon on the bonnet, a discreet arrangement on the door handles, a ribbon in the wedding colours. No installations leaving marks on the bodywork will be accepted.
Collective guest transport is the most strategically significant element. A wedding with 80 guests cannot rely on individual cars — nor on tourist coaches whose aesthetic would clash with the rest of the event. Our Luxury Sprinter (10+ passengers) is purpose-built for this mission: leather interior, tri-zone air conditioning, dimmed LED lighting, mineral water, USB charging, refined ambience. A premium alternative to impersonal coaches, maintaining the visual continuity of the whole wedding.
Shuttles run on the hotels → ceremony → cocktail → reception → late-night return rotation, timed to the quarter hour. For VIP family members or guests of honour, the Mercedes V-Class (6 passengers) offers the ideal balance of individual comfort and capacity.
From 50 guests onwards, transport becomes a full logistical operation in its own right. For weddings of 50 to 200 guests, we establish a coordination unit: several Sprinters and V-Class vehicles rotating to schedule, centralised planning, direct communication with the wedding planner, walkie-talkies between chauffeurs if needed. Nico or Morgan, our dispatchers, monitor the entire operation in real time on the day — from the first guests' airport arrivals through to late-night returns after the fireworks.
This centralised coordination prevents the classic wedding blunders: guests forgotten at the hotel, shuttles departing early, traffic jams at the ceremony exit, the couple held up by a badly positioned vehicle.
Our chauffeurs know the principal Riviera estates, their access routes, drop-off zones and protocols:
We recommend booking 3 to 6 months before the wedding date, particularly during peak season (May to September) and during major events that mobilise premium fleets (Cannes Film Festival, Monaco Grand Prix, Monaco Yacht Show). The typical process includes: an initial meeting with the couple and/or wedding planner, an in-person venue recce covering access routes and drop-off points, a detailed chauffeur briefing the day before with a minute-by-minute schedule, and a dispatcher on standby behind the scenes on the day itself.
The overall wedding package is always tailored to the number of guests, vehicles required, venues to be served and total duration of the operation. No hidden costs, no last-minute surcharges.
