Avignon TGV station, located in Courtine, is just 5 minutes from the intra-muros city centre via the Pont de l'Europe. The principal arrival point for our Parisian clients (2h40 from Paris-Gare-de-Lyon) and international travellers (Eurostar and Lyria connections), it benefits from a meet & greet service at the platform or in the dedicated car park with a personalised nameplate. Avignon's town-centre station, within the city walls, serves regional trains from Marseille, Nîmes, Orange and Carpentras.
Avignon-Provence airport (AVN), at Caumont, handles primarily private aviation and a few seasonal services. For international commercial flights, our clients favour Marseille Provence airport (MRS), approximately 1h from Avignon via the A7, and Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE), 3h away. Avignon Festival (theatre, July)
Founded in 1947 by Jean Vilar, the Avignon Festival is the most prestigious gathering in the French-speaking world for contemporary theatre. Every July, the Cour d'Honneur of the Palais des Papes, the Cloître des Carmes, the Gymnase Aubanel and over 130 venues of the Festival OFF welcome an international audience — theatre directors, programmers, patrons, cultural journalists and knowledgeable audiences from Europe, the Americas and Asia.
Avignon's hotels are fully booked from mid-June through July: we recommend booking a minimum of 3 months in advance to secure our vehicles and French- and English-speaking chauffeurs. We coordinate shuttles for international companies, evening transfers between intra-muros hotels and performance venues, and late-night returns after Cour d'Honneur performances.
